{Crayon Rolls}

For our Project Group this month, we made these darling crayon rolls/crayon cozies. Too cute. Bailey has been wanting one ever since she saw the cute one Arien made for her kids, at church. Bailey loves to take the crayons out and put them back in the spots. Too fun. I was really in love with my fabric too. I got it at Hobby Lobby and it is dang cute.
We got the instructions from Skip to my Lou, but we did learn a few tricks along the way to make it easier. Enjoy.

This is totally cute. I was going to the fabric store today anyway, now I’m going get some supplies for this. My daughter LOVES to color and she would love to use this at church.

What are the tips?

Okay so my tips are:
1. If you are going to sew on rick-rack for your edges, make sure to sew that on with the first layer.

2. Make sure that you know which way you want your long ribbon to be coming out.

Most of this just seems dumb now that I have made a bunch, but just go with it and see what works best for you!

Ooh! THANK YOU for the tip!!! I’ve been having sooo much trouble with the ric rac! So, I make the pockets, pin the ric rac, and sew it on so I can see it? I guess then I can put the other fabric on top and flip it over so that I can see the line I just sewed and just sew on top of that?! It would be so nice if that solved my problems! Thanks again :-D
