If any of you are like me, you are still trying to decide what to get your moms and mothers-in-law for Mother’s Day! So I have a few little digital scrapbooking project ideas that might help you out. You can still get them done in time, especially if you are Photoshop-savvy and have a printer or a photo lab nearby.
For personal use only, no commercial use please. Please do not share links, just direct people to this post if they want to download. I’d love for you to say hi if you decide to download!
So my cute brother got married last June, and for one of their wedding gifts I made them a personalized The Family: A Proclamation to the World for their home. I took 14 favorite engagement photos that I took for them and arranged them around the text of the Proclamation in Photoshop, and printed as an 11×14 photo, then had the whole thing framed. I was really happy with how it turned out and now I need to find some time to make one for US! I thought this would be a great Mother’s Day gift that you still have time to make!
I wanted to share the 11×14 inch layered template for it you want it, it’ll save you some time. The zipped file includes layered TIFF files (one with the Proclamation text and one without) as well as basic instructions for digiscrappers. If you need a better tutorial on how to use this template (using “clipping masks” in photoshop), please visit this link: Clipping Masks.

A few years ago I made a cute circle mini album for Mother’s Day. I made it in Photoshop and used lots of pics of my kids–their grandmas loved it! I created a layered template if you would like to download it and make one for your mom/grandma this year!
Here is the download link for the album templates (includes layered TIFF files and instructions, not the digital scrapbook papers or embellishments): Brooke’s Circle Album Template
Have you seen those darling little clear paint cans at the craft store? I LOVE using them for all occasions, holidays, baby showers, you name it! You can fill them with treats and little gifts and they are awesome. I like to make “inserts” that you slip inside the paint cans and they always turn out so cute!
I’ve made them for my kids’ school teachers, as seen here:
