Design Memory Craft Giveaway

**This giveaway is now closed and the winners have been announced. Thanks for entering!**

I’ve been obsessing over Christy Tomlinson’s mixed media She Art lately. Have you seen it? When Design Memory Craft asked if I’d like to try their mixed media I invited my sister down for a weekend of crafting. We spent the weekend playing around with the Faber-Castell goodies and created a masterpiece for our mom for Mother’s Day. See that mess? You should have seen the rest of the house as we let our 5 kids run wild! Neither of us had used Gelatos before–they are creamy sticks (kind of like lipstick) of brilliant color that you can dissolve with water to create a watercolor effect, or leave dry for a burst of color. I preferred to leave them dry and smudge with my finger. We also played around with Stamper’s Big Brush, Gelato Metallic Stick, Pastel Pencil and Art GRIP Aquarelle Watercolor pencil from the Mixed Media Kit. We had a great weekend laughing, crying and crafting. We learned that mixed media is very forgiving and great therapy! And it only took my house a week to recover :)

This is was my practice try at “She Art” and not our masterpiece, but because we haven’t given Mom her Mother’s Day gift yet the good stuff will have to wait!
Design Memory Craft’s Mix & Match sets take the guess work out of color selection, as they come in color families that work great together! They sent me the red set to try out, but I love this blue and green too.
Design Memory Craft wants to give 2 Crafting Chick readers each a Mixed Media Sampler and Color Gelatos & Clear Stamp set so you can try mixed media art!

To enter, you must be a follower of Crafting Chicks and simply leave a comment on this post!

The giveaway will close Friday at midnight and the winner will be announced over the weekend on our Facebook page. Good luck!

I took the she-art class, and will be taking the hearts class later this month. What a great bargains these classes are. This was the venue I had been looking for to teach me how to use all these wonderful products & do mixed media art. I taught my daughter and her two girls in the bathroom at the hotel I stayed at during a visit! For mother’s day the two girls each presented me with mixed media art! I was thrilled!
