I would love to win this! My favorite book is “Skipping Christmas” by John Grisham.
followed by “Blue Christmas” by Mary Kay Andrews.
I read “Miracle of 34th Street” this year which the movie did not change much at all!

Twas the Night Before Christmas, hands down! Course that is after the true Christmas story from the Bible!

I don’t really have a most favorite Christmas book but each year, as a tradition, we get a new Christmas book and read it on Christmas Eve.

  5. Linda Peterson says

I get lots of Christmas books out from the library, not sure that there is a favorite. The last one I read was “The Christmas Wedding” about a surprise wedding on Christmas day.

  6. Brandy Parisi says

Hands down – it is Charles Dicken’s Christmas Carol. From the time I was a little girl, this story has been a staple in our Christmas celebration! What a wonderful opportunity to “flesh” out one of our most beloved stories.

  7. Tara Larsen says

This book looks so interesting! I think my favorite Christmas book is A Tale of Three Trees. I’m not sure it’s technically a Christmas book or an Easter book, but either way I love it! :)
    Thanks!

I just finished reading the Christmas Carol by Dickens (for my first time) and my husband told me to follow up with this new Jacob T. Marley book. So I’m excited to read it.

I don’t have an all-time favorite Christmas book, but I did like the two Christmas Jars books.

Here is a good quote from the Christmas Carol about how awesome Christmas is:

“There are many things from which I might have derived good by which I have not profited, I dare say,” returned the nephew, “Christmas among the rest. But I am sure I have always thought of Christmas-time, when it has come round-apart from the veneration due to its sacred name and origin, if anything belonging to it can be apart from that-as a good time; a kind, forgiving, charitable, pleasant time; the only time I know of, in the long calendar of the year, when men and women seem by one consent to open their shut-up hearts freely, and to think of people below them as if they really were fellow-passengers to the grave, and not another race of creatures bound on other journeys. And therefore, uncle, though it has never put a scrap of gold or silver in my pocket, I believe that it has done me good, and will do me good; and I say, God bless it!”

    Merry Christmas!

I have a few favorite holiday stories! That said, choosing a favorite would be quite difficult. I guess I can narrow it down to 3, though: (1) Twas the Night Before Christmas, (2) The Little Match Girl, and (3) A Christmas Carol. Then, of course, as Nancy said, the greatest story of all *does* come from the Bible :)

  30. says

I don’t know if I have a favorite. I love Christmas Jars. (And I hope I didn’t miss the giveaway. I’ve really been wanting this book so I’m keeping my fingers crossed!)
