I was so excited when we were contacted to work with 3M in promoting ScotchBlue’s new Painter’s Tape with Edge-Lock Line Protector.
I don’t know about you, but I have tried to paint with the cheap painter’s tape, and let’s just say, the result wasn’t pretty. There were places where the paint bled through and the perfect line I was striving for wasn’t there. Ugh! That is not the case with the new Edge-Lock technology. This gives you a perfect line every time.
So here’s how I used ScotchBlue. I made this cute striped frame. (My sweet girl is not included, although I did have a hand in making her too.)
I got this frame from Poppy Seed Projects and I wanted to add just a subtle stripe to it.
I had some pink spray paint and got a clear gloss spray paint for the subtle stripe. First I painted the frame with the pink and let it dry over night. Then I measured the spaces for my tape. Since I had 1.5″ wide tape, I wanted my stripes to be the same width. Then I took my clear gloss and went to town spraying it.
Now is the time to wait and be patient. Oh, that’s hard for me cause I just wanna rip the tape off and see what it all looks like, but I waited and it paid off. I loved the way these stripes turned out!
Oh it was just what I wanted. I can’t wait to hang these up!
Right now at Home Depot you can get a rebate for a buy 2 get 1 free on the new ScotchBlue Painter’s Tape with Edge-Lock Paint Line Protector. Better hurry in and snag this deal before it’s gone!
