Michael’s Dream Tree Challenge 2013

We are so excited to get to participate in the Michael’s Dream Tree Challenge this year!

I’m excited to get to design a “dream” tree this year.  It will be hard to fill Brooke’s shoes from the 2012 challenge.  Her tree was amazing!

I think going to craft stores is therapeutic for me.  I loved to wander the aisles (at night while my husband had the kiddos) and think of the possibilities.  I fell in love with the silver, white and gold Christmas line at Michaels.  (pictured above)

Everything was so pretty.  I especially loved the little ceramic white birds.  They will be finding a home in my tree.  With all this pretty stuff in mind, I have decided to design a “pretty” and “fancy” tree this year!  I’m especially excited for the ornaments I will be making!  Can’t wait to share!   (Look at the gold sunburst mirror below…to die for)

And a huge aisle dedicated to beautiful holiday ribbon…I LOVE ribbon…especially on Christmas trees!

So much pretty tree decor!  You will have to go and see for yourself.  I know it is a bit early, but it is so fun to get a head start and begin thinking about that dream tree…or even to find a few things to add to your current decor.

When Choosing your tree…Michael has you covered!

Michaels has tons of pre-lit high-tip count artificial trees ranging in size from 4 ft. to 7.5 ft. and all the way up to 9 ft. They even come in different shapes, from skinny to full and in-between with some smaller trees coming in different color options.  I love mine from Michael’s…so pretty and great quality.

I love that if you purchase a tree at Michaels, it comes with a 5 year tree warranty and a 2 year warranty on the lights.

Be sure to stop by Michaels November 3 through November 9 for a special tree event!

Can’t wait to reveal my finished dream tree design on November 1st…so check back:)

*sigh* We so need Micheal’s here in Germany. I go crazy when I see your great shopping photos and know I have no chance to go there too ;-)
