Hi, it’s Maria from Two Peas and Their Pod. I am thrilled to be guest posting today for The Crafting Chicks. Don’t tell the girls, but I am not crafty at all…I can’t even sew on a button. True story. I love reading The Crafting Chicks blog. They always come up with the best stuff. I want to be them when I grow up!

I am excited to share my favorite Christmas tradition today and don’t worry, it doesn’t involve a craft. You are safe! It is no secret that I love cookies. We have close to 200 cookie recipes on our site and we have a cookie cookbook, Cookie Cravings. I am a cookie fanatic 365 days of the year, but during the holidays I am completely cookie crazy.

My favorite Christmas tradition is baking holiday cookies and giving them to friends, family, and neighbors. My husband, Josh, and I spend one full day making several kinds of cookie doughs. We wrap them up and put the doughs in the fridge. The next day, we turn on our ovens and bake all of the cookies. I like to do this so all of the cookies are baked on the same day and fresh for our friends and family. Baking day is always fun. We turn on the Christmas tunes and bake the day away. Our kitchen turns into a Christmas bakery and I love it. When the cookies cool, and after we sample a few, we wrap them up. Because I’m not crafty, I keep things simple. We put the cookies on holiday plates or in bags tied with ribbon and deliver them to our loved ones!

We enjoy baking the cookies…and tasting them, but the best part is sharing our sweets with our friends and family! Cookies make the best holiday gift, if you ask me. If they are good enough for Santa, they are good enough for everyone:)
