HI-Chew Fruit Candy Valentine Printables

We were lucky to partner with Hi-Chew last year when Nikkala made some amazing lunchbox and love note printables. So when I started thinking about valentine’s for my girls to give to friends,I had Hi-Chews on the brain. We sure love these little treats at our house. They are the perfect for times when I need a quick sweet treat.

Not to mention that with every yummy fruit flavor I could think up a fun little Valentine pun. Are you ready for the fun?

hi-chew-valentines

I’ve got 2 printable sheets with 4 different printables on each. You can attach the full size packs to some of the tags,

fruit-candy-valentine

just a little individual wrapped treat to the tag,

hi-chew-fruit-candy-valentine

or I even made a printable for a mixed bag of individually wrapped ones to give to a teacher or close friend.

valentine-ideas

Lots of options with these.

valentine-hi-chew

Just print these off and have your kids write their names. Then tape the Hi-Chew treat of your choice to the tag and you’re all set. The giving is all up to the kids at this point. And make sure you try a few, as quality control of course. Wouldn’t want to giveaway a treat that wasn’t up to your standards ¬†ūüėČ

Stitchn_Kitchen_Christmas_Blog_Tour-01 We are so excited to be a part of¬†the¬†Riley Blake Stitch ‚Äėn Kitchen Blog Tour.

Today I’m going to be sharing a fun Hand-Stitiched Berry Kissmas Pillow.

Hand-Stitiched Berry Kissmas Pillow

I have loved hand-stitiching for many years now. These are so easy to whip up in an afternoon. Here’s what you’ll need to “cook up” your own “Berry Kissmas” pillow.

Hand-Stitched Berry Kissmas Pillow
“Making” Time: 1 afternoon
Ingredients For the Hand-Stitching:
Stitchable Pattern–Download below
Emboirdery Floss to match your fabric
Background fabric, I used Riley Blake Basics in Skin color.
Ingredients For the Pillow:
4 different fabrics, I used Lost & Found Christmas
Instructions:

For the embroidery:

Download the pattern.

Download Black

  1. Transfer your pattern onto your fabric. I always do this by printing and then tapping the pattern to a window. Tape your fabric on top of the pattern and trace with a pencil.
  2. Use a basic backstitch to make the wording and the mistletoe steams in green.
  3. Use a french knot for each of the red berries.
  4. Once your done with your hand-stich, cut it to a finished size of 9 1/4 x 5. Set aside for now.

Berry-Kissmas-Pillow-sticth

For the pillow:

  1. Cut out 2 strips of fabric 11 5/8 x 2 5/8, for the top and bottom.
  2. Then cut out 2 strips of fabric 7 1/4 x 2 5/8 for the sides.
  3. Attach the top and the bottom first, rights sides together, using a 1/4″ seam to your embroidery, leaving the longer ends on opposite sides. Press.
  4. Attach the sides, placing the right¬†sides of the fabric together, using a 1/4″ seam to your embroidery. Press Merry-Kissmass-Pillow-front
  5. Cut a backing out 14 x 9 3/8. Merry-Kissmass-Pillow-fabric
  6. Place right sides of fabric together and sew pillow together, leaving a space to stuff the pillow and then hand stitch closed.

That’s it!

One thing that has become a tradition for my girls and I, is making yummy popcorn. They love to help add ingredients and eat it. I love that we get to spend time together and that it’s easy to clean up.

Here’s a fun video of my girls and I making it. (Video by Heather Cluff)

Peppermint-popcorn

Here is one of our family favorite popcorn recipes, Peppermint Popcorn.

Peppermint Popcorn
Ingredients
Instructions
  1. Place popcorn in a large bowl.
  2. Melt almond bark according to directions.
  3. If microwaving you can try our easy instructions:
  4. seconds at 50% power, stir
  5. seconds at 50%, stir
  6. seconds at 50%, stir
  7. seconds at 50%, stir
  8. WHEN YOUR CHOCOLATE IS ALMOST MELTED, CUT THE TIME IN HALF TO PREVENT SCORCHING CHOCOLATE.
  9. Once almond bark is melted, add in your peppermint essential oil. Stir this in evenly and add a drop at a time until it is at your desired flavor level.
  10. Pour the melted almond bark over your popcorn and begin mixing. At this point you can start to add in the crushed candy canes, and confetti sprinkles.
  11. Lay out on waxed paper and make one layer.
  12. Melt the dark chocolate chips using the directions above. Drizzle the dark chocolate over top of the popcorn using a fork.
  13. Let cool completely and then break up to serve and share.

Now to make this a cute gift, just grab a fun gift bag. I love these ones I got from the Heidi Swapp that you can find at Joann. The popcorn looks so cute in there.
