A few weeks ago The Chicks had an amazing girls night out—as much as we adore our children and husbands it was time to get together and enjoy delicious food and chat with each other without having to worry about chasing kids around a nice restaurant. 🙂 It was DIVINE, I tell you!
We dined at the incredible Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse in downtown Salt Lake City, where the ambiance was relaxing and the staff took such great care of us. Our server Maggie was so friendly and knowledgeable and had us wanting to order everything on the menu with her vivid descriptions of the food. I was giddy.
We even got a chance to meet the experienced Executive Chef who prepared our meal perfectly. I think my stomach just growled just thinking about the petite filet mignon that melted in my mouth!! Best steak ever.
From the appetizers, to the salads, sides and succulent steaks (and salmon!), we were more than satisfied! 🙂 The famous steaks at Ruth’s Chris are seared at 1800 degrees and topped with fresh butter so they sizzle all the way to your table. Oh my. Oh my. I’d heard about them before and my steak definitely lived up to the hype. And the dessert! I’m still dreaming about the fresh berries and cream, it was heavenly. And totally healthy, right?!? 🙂
Part of the reason for our GNO was to try out a new service by American Express called Serve. Serve is a next-generation digital payments platform that helps you organize your money, send and receive funds, and manage payment requests — all from a single, unified online account. Serve makes paying and being paid simple. It’s a new way to settle up with friends/buddies instantly via email or mobile device—avoid the awkwardness of owing friends money, or stop trying to chase down your friends to pay up! You set up an account, which is quick and easy and free to register, and you know that it’s safe and secure because it’s provided by American Express (I’m personally a big fan of AMEX!).
I appreciate the fact that it’s instant payment and I don’t need to write checks. It would come in handy if you didn’t want to split the check several different ways at a restaurant—just have one person pay the bill and the rest can use their Serve accounts to settle up quickly! You are also sent a card that’s tied to your account (similar to a pre-paid debit card) which means you can still make purchases in stores.
Becky set up her account and referred the rest of us to sign up–the cool part is that we each got a $10 credit towards our first use just for signing up! Refer friends to Serve and you can get up to $50 in your account as a bonus!
We had a lovely time together! And I can tell you we were full for the next few days. 🙂 Thanks Ruth’s Chris and Serve!
