Fear not…the annual SUMMER CHART is back by Popular Demand!  We received some requests for the new 2012 Summer chart and I can’t wait to share it with our readers today!

For the past couple of years, I have been sharing my family’s SUMMER FUN CHARTS (2010 Summer Chart & 2011 Summer Chart).

I am not going to lie, we don’t finish all of the activities every year-we extend into fall, but it is a great way to stay motivated with family fun!  The kids won’t forget about the chart-believe me!  So be careful what you choose:)  For family home evening, we sit down as a family & brainstorm some fun ideas & activities to do together over the summer.  Remember that these summer activities can be easy and free, like a backyard swim party, a picnic at the park, ice cream or snow cones together, a trip to the library, a family movie night, or a backyard camp out.  I shared some of our Summer Fun Ideas last year.

I feel like this chart helps strengthen our family and reminds me to enjoy the summer with my kids:)

Here is a sample of the new and improved 2012 Summer Fun Chart!  I am loving yellow, blue and STRIPES!

SO…what are some fun family activity ideas you will add to your chart this year?  Can’t wait to hear your ideas!:)

  1. Love it! I am so doing this even though I know what you mean about being careful what you choose. I have to pick things that are actually going to happen or they will drive me nuts about it until they do :). On our list:

    water balloon fight

    So cute – printing now…

  2. Kim…I love those ideas…I want a slurpee right now!

  3. I’m so doing this for this summer…we’re moving to a new town in a couple weeks and there is lots of new stuff to explore there, the list will give me goals.

One is The strawbery banke in Portsmouth NH
And Blue Ocean Society’s touch tank

  4. LOVE LOVE LOVE this!!!! I can’t wait to brainstorm with the kids this evening.

Any chance you will have a download for the photo journal cover this year;)?

    Thanks for the AWESOME idea!!!!

  5. Is there a way to type the 50 in or do we print it and hand write? I want to make the 16X20 at Costco.

  6. Same question as noted above..any way to get the template in a format we can type in? Absolutely LOVE it!!

  7. Great way to get my boys even more excited for summer! I know they’re going to want to have a water balloon fight, make homemade popsicles, melt crayons in the hot Phoenix sun (they’re boys!) and go camping!

  8. Thanks so much for the print! I used your print last year too, and it really helps us to make the most out of our summer!

Hello! Absolutely loving this idea! Will definitely be taking advantage of it this summer! I would also love a copy without the numbering if at all possible. Also, I love the idea of the matching journal- is there a printable journal cover for 2012 as well?
Thanks so much for your inspiration!

Thanks for the chart! I think I look forward to our summer fun chart each year just as much as my kidlets do!

I uploaded the chart to PicMonkey, typed in my activities, and then printed it out as a 16×20 at Sam’s Club for about $6.00. Hope this helps for some of the commenters above.
