Halloween is a favorite in my home. My kids and hubby really get into the decor, costumes and of course YUMMY Halloween Goodies! My season favorite . . . Candy Apples! The tangy apples with a smother of sweet candy shell just seems to hit the spot for me! This year, I thought how much fun it would be to mix the Spooky Halloween season with one of my favorite treats. So I created this Spooky Halloween Candy Apple Treat!
I used a kit from Urban Accents, which made this SUPER easy and quick to make. For more spooky fun, I added a glittery black stick and an eyeball that I found at Hobby Lobby. For the little extra touch I HAD to add a tag “I’ve got my EYE on you” which I think really brings it all to life!!!
Here are the supplies you will need
To get the glitter effect, I used a little bit of spray paint, then applied the glitter to the wet paint. No need for glue.
The candy apple mix was super easy to use; I found my kit from my local bakery. The mix and sticks are included in the package. A quick tip… a candy thermometer is a MUST for successful candy apples!
Now it’s your turn to add a bit of Spooky Apple fun to your holiday! You can’t go wrong with a Spooky Halloween Candy Apple! Here is the free printable for you to enjoy!

Thank You Tags – Free Printables are perfect to add to gifts and presents for any occasion.
Hello there! It’s Katie from The Casual Craftlete. I hope you all have been enjoying your summer. Today I am sharing a few Free Printable Thank You Tags that I have created. I am a sucker for all occasion crafts and printables. A lot of times special occasions sneak up on me and I like to have some thank you tags on hand for when that happens. These thank you tags can be added to gift bags, packages, cards and more. You can even print several of the Thank You tags and bundle them together with paper favor bags, twine and clothespins and use for a personalized favor packaging gift set.
I thought since school will be starting shortly, these thank you tags would be nice to add to a teachers gift this school year. It’s a nice little way to say you are grateful for all their hard work. I like adding some small sweet treat to a polka dot kraft bag. Then I attached the coral thank you tag to a larger tag I made using floral scrapbook paper. This gives the tag dimension and color.
For me there are so many times when I want to say thank you with a little gift and these tags make such a wonderful addition. I love making brownies or a plate of cookies and dropping it off to say thank you. It’s nice to quickly grab one of these tags and attach it with a clothespin or some bakers twine and you are all set!
I have made three different designs for you to print. Two of the designs have black typograph with pretty floral frames. I recommended printing those on kraft cardstock. I just like the natural look and the brown kraft makes the black ink stand out. For some fun and color, I made the third design in coral. Right now coral is my favorite color and just happens to be trendy. I recommended printing the coral color thank you tag on white cardstock. Each thank you tag is approximately 2 inches in size. You can use any 2 inch or larger shape punch to cut the tags out. The round tags would be cute to use as a seal on a card envelope.
To download the tags, simply click the links below and always remember these printables are for personal use only.
Thanks for letting me share my Thank You Tags – Free Printables with you. I hope you are able to use these sweet little tags to brighten someones day.

Mother’s Day is right around the corner! As a mom I adore the sweet little gifts I receive from my kiddos. I have had many breakfasts in bed that I would have to say were very interesting… but endearing.
These past few weeks, I have been brainstorming with my good friend Holly, and we came up with this fun Mother’s Day Printable. It not only gives “Mom” an option of what food she likes and where she would like to eat her breakfast. But, also a 2nd Mother’s Day printable that is all about “Mom” and the kinds of things she likes and enjoys. Such a great way for kids and or hubby to get to know you better! These printables could be used for a very fun Mother’s Day morning full of memories and love.
To all you GREAT Moms out there. I applaud you! Its a a lot of HARD work but so very rewarding! Happy Mother’s Day to you!

My six year old has just discovered the magic of Aesop’s Fables and the whole family has gotten into the morals of these short stories. I’m Vanessa from Tried & True and I’m so happy to be sharing Aesop’s Fine Birds Free Printable with all you lovely Crafting Chicks readers. Hope you enjoy!
So, in case it’s been a while and you need a refresher on Aesop’s Fables, this quote comes from the tale of The Jay and the Peacock. The basic gist of the story is that a Jay finds a bunch of molted peacock feathers and ties them to his tail as he struts around. Much to the Jay’s distress, the peacocks immediately discover his ruse and proceed to peck out the feathers. With no other choice, the Jay returns to his understandably annoyed jay family, to which they reply:
“It is not only fine feathers, that make fine birds.”
I just love how these old stories are still so applicable to today! It’s so easy to get caught up in the possessions we own and the story of The Jay and The Peacocks helps remind children and adults alike where our true value lies. My kindergartener may not 100% understand the morals of these stories but he loves listening to them and I love the conversations we have because of them!
I’ve created two different options for you to enjoy this Aesop’s Fine Birds Free Printable! One comes in color so that all you have to do is print, frame, and hang. The second one is just outlines so that you can pull out some colored pencils and color in the image yourself. I highly recommend you go the coloring route, it’s so meditative and calming!
