Hopefully you all commented on the last Snapfish post. We loved all the fun ideas you gave us. I chose comment #29, Kari who suggested we put together an “I Spy” book. I have always wanted to make an “I Spy” family book using family photos throughout the year. My kids love the “I Spy” princess and cars books we have right now. I thought it would be a fun way to look back on 2011 and all of our fun memories we made throughout the months.
Snapfish has many options for building a photo book. I love that they have already designed pages and layouts. I love that they even have themes to create custom books to celebrate birthdays and weddings, vacation journals & scrapbooks, recipe books or just everyday photo books.
The easy-to-use book tool lets you customize every photo layout, background design and caption. I chose to go the “create my own” route. Snapfish allows you to create your own unique book too! So…I made my book layouts in photoshop and then uploaded each page image to the site. I must say I was AMAZED at how FAST my “very large” images uploaded to Snapfish…I thought for sure there would be a little message asking me to resize each image smaller…NOPE! It was awesome! (And they even let you add photos from your Facebook or Flicker accounts!)
My kids have this stuffed rat from IKEA….they think it is so funny to chase each other with…or play tricks with! I thought it would be funny to hide a few random rats on each page…(hidden in the pictures!) They are going to love this little spin!
They also allow you to personalize your cover. You can go with just a plain leather one, or add a photo.
Notice in the screen shot below, your photos are stored in a little bin on the side and super easy to drag to your photo book. I also love that you can hold your cursor over the pages and other options will pop up.
The last step was to review my book before purchase…this is always my favorite step. It is easy to go back and fix anything too. (Just click through the labels on top!)
I am so excited to see my “I Spy” book! I can’t wait to surprise my kids this Christmas with a special photo book!
