Cuisine: Jalapeno Turkey Burgers
Author: The Crafting Chicks
- 1½ lbs. of ground turkey (Don't use more than this. I like to use the ground turkey breast if you can find it, or the leanest you can find.)
- 1 jalapeno chile
- 2 oz. grated Monterey Jack cheese (about ½ cup)
- ¼ cup plain dried breadcrumbs
- 2 TBLS mayonnaise
- course salt and fresh ground pepper
- cheddar cheese
- tomato
- bbq sauce
- ranch
- mayonnaise
- lettuce
- bacon
- pickles
- onions
- Heat grill to medium-high
- Remove ribs and seeds from jalapeno (depending on how hot you like it). Chop jalapeno finely.
- In a bowl, mix turkey, jalapeno, cheese, breadcrumbs, 2 tablespoons mayo, salt and pepper mix gently with a fork to combine.
- Form meat into 4 equal patties, about 4 inches across and 1 inch thick. Press thumb into the middle to make a indentation to keep patties flat while griling.
- Grill burgers 5-8 minutes on each side.
- Toast buns.
- While burgers are grilling, mix together the sauce of equal parts mayo, ranch and bbq sauce.
- Top burgers with bbq ranch sauce and your favorite toppings.
