Jalapeno Turkey Burgers
Cuisine: Jalapeno Turkey Burgers
Author: The Crafting Chicks
Ingredients
  • 1½ lbs. of ground turkey (Don't use more than this. I like to use the ground turkey breast if you can find it, or the leanest you can find.)
  • 1 jalapeno chile
  • 2 oz. grated Monterey Jack cheese (about ½ cup)
  • ¼ cup plain dried breadcrumbs
  • 2 TBLS mayonnaise
  • course salt and fresh ground pepper
  • cheddar cheese
  • tomato
  • bbq sauce
  • ranch
  • mayonnaise
  • lettuce
  • bacon
  • pickles
  • onions
Instructions
  1. Heat grill to medium-high
  2. Remove ribs and seeds from jalapeno (depending on how hot you like it). Chop jalapeno finely.
  3. In a bowl, mix turkey, jalapeno, cheese, breadcrumbs, 2 tablespoons mayo, salt and pepper mix gently with a fork to combine.
  4. Form meat into 4 equal patties, about 4 inches across and 1 inch thick. Press thumb into the middle to make a indentation to keep patties flat while griling.
  5. Grill burgers 5-8 minutes on each side.
  6. Toast buns.
  7. While burgers are grilling, mix together the sauce of equal parts mayo, ranch and bbq sauce.
  8. Top burgers with bbq ranch sauce and your favorite toppings.
