Ice Cream in a Bag "Science" recipe

  • ½ cup half & half
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ⅓ cup rock salt
  • 3 cups ice
  • sandwich size Ziploc bag
  • gallon size Ziploc bag
  1. Combine half & half, sugar and vanilla extract in the sandwich sized Ziplobag.
  2. Pour ice and rock salt into the gallon sized Ziploc bag. Seal the bag, making sure to let the air out. Wrap the gallon bag in a dish towel and gently shake and massage for about 4 minutes. After about 5 minutes, you'll have a single serving of soft serve ice cream.
