Easy French Dip Sandwiches
Author: The Crafting Chicks
Ingredients
  • 2 lb roast (I like the loin roasts-more tender)
  • Cooking Oil Spray
  • 1 package beef onion soup mix
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 cans beef broth
  • 1 ½ cup water
  • Buns (we love large potato buns for these sandwiches)
  • Provalone Slices
  • Butter
Instructions
  1. Spray the bottom of your crock pot with cooking spray. Heat on high your roast for 5 minutes on each side. Salt and pepper each side of your roast. Add in 1 package beef onion soup mix, beef broth, and water. Cook on low for 8 hours. This will make the meat really tender. Just get it started in the morning and you won’t have to think about dinner all day!
  2. Right before serving add butter to the buns and toast them in the oven. Add your beef to the buns and a slice of cheese. Strain out some of the broth and serve in mini bowls for dipping.
