Easy French Dip Sandwiches |
Author: The Crafting Chicks
- 2 lb roast (I like the loin roasts-more tender)
- Cooking Oil Spray
- 1 package beef onion soup mix
- salt and pepper
- 2 cans beef broth
- 1 ½ cup water
- Buns (we love large potato buns for these sandwiches)
- Provalone Slices
- Butter
- Spray the bottom of your crock pot with cooking spray. Heat on high your roast for 5 minutes on each side. Salt and pepper each side of your roast. Add in 1 package beef onion soup mix, beef broth, and water. Cook on low for 8 hours. This will make the meat really tender. Just get it started in the morning and you won’t have to think about dinner all day!
- Right before serving add butter to the buns and toast them in the oven. Add your beef to the buns and a slice of cheese. Strain out some of the broth and serve in mini bowls for dipping.
