Easy Fruity Halloween Poke Cake
Author: Shaken Together for The Crafting Chicks
Fruity swirls of purple and orange fill a soft white cake that is topped with frosting and TONS of seasonal sprinkles!
Ingredients
  • One 9x13 white cake, baked and completely cooled
  • One 3 oz. box of grape Jell-o
  • One 3 oz. box of orange Jell-o
  • One tub of whipped vanilla frosting
  • Halloween sprinkles and sugar
Instructions
  1. Using a straw or the handle of a wooden spoon, poke holes all over the surface of the baked and cooled cake.
  2. Prepare each box of Jell-o using 1 cup of boiling water + ½ cup of cold water. (This is ½ cup less cold water than what is called for on package instructions.)
  3. Carefully pour or spoon the grape Jell-o over a portion of the cake. Take care to get the liquid into the holes.
  4. Carefully pour or spoon the orange Jell-o over the rest of cake. Take care to get the liquid into the holes.
  5. Refrigerate the cake for at least 3-4 hours or overnight - this allows the Jell-o to set up within the cake.
  6. Frost the cake with the whipped vanilla frosting.
  7. Just prior to serving, top with Halloween sugars and sprinkles.
  8. Cut and serve!
  9. Refrigerate any leftover cake
