- Black pom-pom for the nose
- Scissors
- Free printable bear template (download below!)
- Black marker or pen
- A cardboard box or tissue box
- Red colored cardstock for the back of the box
- Craft embellishments (optional for added accents)

Step 1: Download the Free Bear Printable Template
Start by downloading the free printable bear template. Print it out, and carefully cut out the template pieces—these will help you create the bear’s face, paws, belly, and ears!

Step 2: Prepare Your Valentine Box
Take your Valentine box (you can use any cardboard box or even a tissue box) and trace the edges to create two sides and a strip to cover the front and back of the box. Use red colored cardstock to wrap the box securely, and adhere the paper using Glue Dots® or a glue stick for a smooth finish.

Step 3: Cut Out the Bear Parts
Now, using the free printable template, trace the bear’s head shape, muzzle, paws, and belly onto craft foam. We used brown for the bear’s body and white for the belly and muzzle. Cut out all the foam pieces, and get ready to assemble your bear!

Step 4: Assemble the Bear on the Box
Start by attaching the bear’s head to the top of your Valentine box using Glue Dots®. Then, add the round belly in the center of the box and arrange the four paws around the belly. This is the fun part where your bear starts to come to life!

Step 5: Add the Final Touches
Use a black pom-pom to create the bear’s nose and glue it on with Glue Dots®. Then, use a black marker or pen to draw the bear’s mouth just below the nose. Finally, add two googly eyes to complete the bear’s adorable face.

Step 6: Take the “Beary” Special Bear Valentine Card Box to Class!
Once your beary cute bear Valentine card box is finished, it’s time to show it off at the Valentine exchange party! This adorable Valentine mailbox is perfect for holding Valentine cards and candy from classmates. A fun idea to go along with the theme is to hand out Valentine stuffed bears as little gifts. These are sure to make the exchange even more special!
