FUN PHOTO OPP #1. back to school night=pressure free

Back to school night is a great pressure-free place to take photos. Take a photo of your child next to mom or dad. This shows their size at the time and is usually just an all-around cute photo:  This is my son and my hubby at Back to School Night. It’s fun to see how he’s grown since last year.

…Backpacks. Backpack choice is one of the biggest choices you make as a kid on their way to school

wouldn’t you agree?

…Gotta have a SIBS picture. These are always fun.

FUN PHOTO OPP #3. bus stop or carpool

Bus stops are a great place to capture a bunch of memories. I love the lighting opps in the morning. This little series of pictures was fun because it shows some of their friends that they went to school with that year. The two boys at the front are mine. Mine WOULD be the one with the really really random PJs, sending off his brother at the bus stop, in a photo shoot. I LOVE it though. It’s really telling of how random we are at times. The funny face picture, those are always fun. I never get sick of the silly face pictures.

…Whether you are jumping for joy or shedding tears, the good-bye photo always makes for a good keepsake.

ONE LAST FUN PHOTO OPP SECTION

Senior Pics. Photography & Design by Kirsten

I had to share this album with you all…this is a pure tribute to Carli Bahm a.k.a. “BAHMSHELL”, one of my favorite buddies. I made this for her a couple of years ago for her graduation present. Senior pictures are so fun because you get the chance to put all the sass, attitude, and *POP* into the photos and design. Options with seniors are ENDLESS!! LOVE the age group!

Ha ha ha I made her pose for this one…we were trying to perfect the hair commercial hair flip.

  1. These are such AMAZING ideas!! I can’t wait to use them. I have one of my son from last year as he’s getting on the bus…you only see his backside on the stairs – but it’s my favorite for sure….
    Makes me a little sad, let’s be honest (he’s only 3)…. 🙂

    1. Ok so it’s all worth it when I read fun comments from awesome readers. My other little boy is starting this year and I just might be a little sad to send him off, he’s a sweet little thing.

  2. What a great idea to post these lists. I loved all of the ideas. I always love the picture with the child holding a sign that says “I’m in the Second Grade.” or “My first day of Pre-K” Those are the best memories.

    1. I love that idea. I will have to try that this year. I think it’s always fun to have signs that instantly tell you how old they are.

  3. Very good ideas! I always love the picture my mom would take of me standing in front of the teacher’s name and room number outside the classroom door. Also, good reminder to get pictures of Dad and kids at the school at back to school night- it doesn’t happen as often.

  4. In addition to by the front door with the new backpack and by the classroom door with the new teacher I take pictures of their new shoes. I have loved having these over the years!!
