I love to add a cute Christmas pillow each holiday! I love the Silver Sparkly Iron on vinyl from Cricut...and knew it would help make the cutest festive pillow around!
Here’s How I made this lovely DIY Jingle All the Way Christmas Pillow
What you need:
Cricut Explore Machine
Cutting Mat
Silver Iron on Heat Transfer
Material 1/2 yard (I like twill fabric)
Sewing Machine
Four Large Silver Bells
12-22 Pillow insert
I always use this tutorial when making pillows… EASY SLIPCOVER PILLOWS.
In Cricut Design Space, use the font tool to write “JINGLE ALL THE WAY” (you choose your font)
Make sure your mirror image your image before cutting.
Cut Fabric:
Front 14×24 inches (you need one front)
Back (2 pieces) 9×24 inches
Back Pieces: Â Fold over a horiz. edge and iron to make a hem. Sew both of these. Do this on both halves.
Pin right sides together (with edge pieces of back inside) with the front piece…then just sew around the whole rectangle. Turn right side out, iron and you have a nice pillow slipcover.
With a hot steam setting on your iron, iron over  the front of the pillow and get it good an hot. Place your “Jingle All the Way” words on the front where you would like them… Iron over the plastic. Go slow and gradually pull up the plastic. I like to cover the letters with a thin towel and iron over once again.
For the finishing touch, sew a bell on each corner….Love this added little charm!
Thanks for this tutorial! My daughters and I went shopping yesterday for pillow forms and muslin fabric… Got my silver HTV and we are ready to go! Excited to do a Christmas craft with my girls and we will all have matching pillows for our own houses… 🙂
I am curious about the pillow insert you used. I am looking for the heavier more bean bag like style pillow insert. Not sure if that is the best description. Is that what you used and if so where did you find it?
Hi! Can you tell me what size font to use?
Tricia it will depend on the size of your pillow. I would measure the pillow in width and length and then make the font size according to that. Sorry it’s not a perfect answer, but this will work best for your personal pillow.
What font is this? I love it!
