{Simple Personalized Decor – Tuesday Tip}

I LOVE photos!!! They are definitely my favorite thing to decorate with. I especially love photos of my beautiful little kiddos. 🙂  I am always trying to find new ways to display my photos. I found a great post on mounting your photos onto foam board on  The Creative Crate. I just had to do my own.You will need:

foam board

photos (any size)

a craft knife

spray adhesiveI traced my photo with a pencil onto the foam board.

Then, I just cut out the area that I traced with my craft knife.

I used spray adhesive to mount the photo onto my board, so easy!!!

I love how they turned out. I love the no frame look, so simple and fun!We recently moved my 12 year old son, Ethan, into his own room. I had to come up with something that was somewhat grown-up for his room. I love any kind of decor with monograms, I think they are wonderful! So I made a fun ‘E’ for his shelf.You will need:

monogram letter

scrapbook paper

Mod Podge

craft knife

I just traced the ‘E’ on the back of the scrapbook paper, cut it out, and Mod Podged it onto my letter. I then used some vinyl lettering using my oh so wonderful Silhouette. I absolutely love how it turned out!

                                   What are some personalized decor tips that you have?

  1. So cute, you are darling! I have done that with some of my pics as well. One of the things I have learned about spray adhesive is to spray it on both surfaces….super important for stickage! Thanks old goat 🙂

  2. I love doing monograms for kids’ rooms. Another great project is magnet boards with homemade glass bead magnets (use stamp images or rubons underneath the glass bead) for decorative ways to hold up their favorite art or papers. I’ve done each letter of their name or fun sayings with the magnets too.
