Make someones day with this Springtime Gift Wrap Idea. A lovely gift to give to Easter dinner, host or for a spring wedding or even a spring birthday.
There’s a tiny hint of spring in the air! Can you feel it? I am so over winter and completely ready for the colorful flowers to bloom, the warm sunshine on my face and the sound of happy, chirping birds. With Easter and Mother’s Day right around the corner, I wanted to share with you a pretty springtime gift wrap idea for all your gift giving needs.
Nothing says “spring” more than blue speckled robin’s eggs, don’t you think? Here’s a fun way to bring that same pretty, speckled look onto your gift wrap.
Supplies used:
- White gift wrap
- Acrylic paint in seafoam green
- Old toothbrush
- Faux robin eggs
- Ribbon
- Glue
- Flower sprigs
Wrap your present in white gift wrap ( I found mine at the dollar store). Take an old toothbrush, dip into the paint and splatter away by running your fingers over the bristles, going towards you. This assures that (most of) the paint goes away from you. Allow the paint to dry on the package for a bit before you tie the ribbon on.
Finally, embellish the gift by tucking in small stems of springtime blossoms into the tied ribbon. Use any flowers you’d like for this step, I just loved the pretty blossoms and thought they’d be perfect for spring. Add glue to the faux eggs, attach them to the gift box and allow to dry. I found the faux eggs at Michael’s and there were pretty pink ones too which would have been just as cute to add to the package.
This would be such a lovely gift to give to someone that’s hosting an Easter dinner, has a spring wedding or even a spring birthday. The possibilities are endless and with these dark, gloomy days of winter, a little gift of spring will bring a smile to anyone’s face.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a happy spring!
