For as long as I can remember my dad has had a mustache. He is famous in the community for the handle bar mustache he had for years. So when he turned 60 we thought it was only fitting that we celebrated his mustache too!
We set up a photo booth with mustaches and dry erase thought bubbles and the guests had a great time picking out their ‘staches and writing little messages for the birthday man. You can find patterns for the mustaches on Easy Makes Me Happy.
At the last minute I thought it would be really cute if all the grand-kids wore mustaches like Papa for the party. As we were running out the door I printed some mustaches on Silhouette tattoo paper. If I would have had more time I could have ran them through my Silhouette and have it do all the cutting for me. As it was I ended up using scissors to cut them out. As guests started to arrive my sister applied the tattoos and the grandkids surprised Papa! The tattoos are applied with water, just like the temporary tattoos you get at the store. We aren’t sure if Papa or the grandkids loved the mustaches more! I don’t know if you can see, but even the little 7 week old had one on her binky. They lasted through the party and were off in time for family pictures the next day (phew!)

The tattoo mustaches themselves are cute enough…but putting them on all the kids (baby included!) in honor of your dad was just too sweet!

I just used mustaches in a game for my sister’s bridal shower this weekend. They were quite the hit!
