The Crafting Chicks Picks: Favorite Treats
It’s time for another day of The Crafting Chicks Picks {twice a month we share some favorite tips, products, foods, traditions, etc. with you so you can get to know us better and maybe get some fun ideas in the process}! Today is all about our favorite treats! Now you can know some of the goodies we crave. 🙂
**We are not paid for any of these “Picks”, we’re just sharing things we like!**
One of my favorite treats in February are those cherry juju hearts you can get really inexpensively at the grocery store. As you can see I even instagrammed it a few weeks ago. I usually stock up and hoard them a little bit for after Valentine’s Day is over. 😉
Okay, one of my most recent favorites are macarons! I know they’ve been popular over the past while but I tried some for the very first time just a week ago! New favorite treat. My parents brought me some as a souvenir from France—so my first macarons were directly from Paris! Wow, they were delicious. The funny thing is that my husband and I went on a road trip like 5 minutes after my parents gave me the box so I took some pictures of the beautiful box they came in and the super pretty cookies themselves on my armrest in my van, lol! 🙂 YUM. Now I’m on a quest to find yummy ones locally!
The caramel pretzels and chocolate covered cinnamon bears are my faves.
My dear friend Sita made me an addict! I LOVE these Haribo Peaches. I like the peach, gummy goodness without the marshmallow stuff. These are a must- have for a road trip/ movie/ or treat therapy!
Love me some Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups! And one day I will get to the Hershey Factory in Pennsylvania and see these babies made!! Super fresh ones are the best…and I especially love the egg shaped ones during Easter.
This is SOOOOO hard to pick because anyone that knows me knows that I am a candyaholic. My first choice right now would have to be the Haribo Gummy Frogs. The only place near my house that sells them is Maverick, yea for Maverick. They are so good and when I have them I can’t stop eating them.
My favorite drink is Lemonata San Pellegrino now this doesn’t mean that I drink this 24-7, but when it’s near, I can’t help myself. Move over Diet Coke 🙂
RED VINES is a tried and true and i’m pretty sure this would be the poster candy for my family if we had them. My grandpa would give them to use when we were little and ever since then, it’s been a family staple, especially when we go to grandma’s cabin. YUM!
I’m obsessed with this Kettle Corn recipe from Our Best Bites! Popcorn has always been a favorite of mine, but this recipe is life changing!
What are your favorite treats? We’d love to hear them!

First, I have been to Hershey Park in Pennsylvania and must say that it is a super fun place to visit! My very first roller coaster ride was the Super Duper Looper at Hershey Park. I just barely made the cut off for the height requirement! (Incidentally, my dad tried to protect my head since it was barely above the side of the metal car and ended up banging my head. He felt soooo bad.)
I’m am a big fan of Neuhaus Belgian chocolates. My BIL lives in Belgium and sends a box to us every year. They are so rich you really can only eat one!
I also happen to love See’s Chocolate. Back in the “old days,” you could only get them out in San Francisco. My aunt lived in San Fran and would send us a box of chocolates for Christmas every year. Talk about divine! My mother used to have to hid a box near her bedside so we wouldn’t eat them all before she had a chance to enjoy them!
Back in the old-old-old days, when my great grandmother Hazel was alive, an orange in Christmas stockings used to be THE treat of the year. Sometimes when my kids get overly obsessed with candy (like now) I remind them that there was a time when oranges in the winter were considered treats.
Hi Ladies! I just stumbled across your website and I love it! Can’t wait to see more of your posts…I will definitely be following. Good job!
There is a bakery in the Grand America Hotel that makes and sells french macaroons.
AJ’s sells WONDERFUL Macaroons, both regular size and mini. Don’t know if you have one near you. It will be an expensive habit.
My favorite is Cadbury eggs. Gotta have them. I eagerly await their Easter arrival, which is why I quit giving up chocolate for Lent. lol! When I was living in Europe, they sold them year round…TROUBLE! ;d
YES!! I love those gummy frogs. HAHAHAH, I don’t even know why. They are just so addicting. And don’t even get me started on a Reese’s… mmmmm
