These books would be fun to read before visiting the Zoo as a family. I love ZOO from Gail Gibbons. And Curious George goes to the Zoo is a classic. My kids love the book “The View at the Zoo”
Before going to the zoo try reading ‘Twas the Day before Zoo Day! Love that book.
