Bear it Well Printable

I love this quote from this month’s Visiting Teaching message. How true it is that we can’t solve problems that our friends may be dealing with, but we can offer our love and support to let them know we care. I love that it talks about different ways we may reach someone and the different effects a that laugh, hug, or helping hands can have. Kleenex Teacher Gift Idea with Printable Tag

printable-tags-for-teachers

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Huggies and Kleenex for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine. I don’t know about you, but it seems like I can never have enough Kleenex© Ultra Soft around my house. As a mother of 3 little girls, it seems like someone is always sniffling or sneezing especially when school starts and the germs start to circulate. The Kleenex Ultra Soft Facial Tissues are the best because they are super soft for those sensetive noses.   I love to give Kleenex Ultra Soft to our new school teachers each year too, since they are dealing with a lot more sniffles and sneezes then I am on a daily basis. That’s another reason I buy a big pack of Kleenex© Ultra Soft from Sam’s Club. Then I can still have a stockpile at my house and be fine with gifting these. Another time saver is that Sam’s Club offers FREE online Order Pickup so you [Read More…]

Lucky Hedbanz

lucky hedbanz

We had so much fun with our Valentine Hedbanz cards, that I’m back with a set for St. Patrick’s Day. If you aren’t familiar with the game HedBanz* here’s a quick break down. You wear awesome plastic headbands that have a slit to hold the card. Without looking at the card you insert it into the slit, and then by asking questions you try to figure out what you are. Kind of like 20 questions. Only instead of 20 questions, you are racing against a timer. If you get it before your time is up you pick another card and keep asking until your time expires. Then it’s the next person’s turn. When it comes around to you again, you pick up asking questions where you left off before. It promotes logical thinking and a lot of laughs! If you don’t have the game, I bet you could make elastic headbands, like the elastic hair ties only larger, and they would [Read More…]

Valentine Happy Mail – Party in a Box

SONY DSC

Valentine’s Day is hands down my favorite time of year to send mail. A pink envelope in the mailbox is a very happy surprise in the dead of winter! I took it a little further with this party-in-a-box for my nieces and nephews. I’m a sucker for holiday sprinkles, it is impossible for me to walk by an end cap of jars full of colorful little jars of jimmies and holiday shapes without stopping. I just can’t. I mean, look how cute these are. As my collection kept expanding I realized it’s actually quite difficult to use an entire container of sprinkles per holiday. Let alone 3 or 4 containers. That’s when I it hit me that if I divided them into small containers I could share! And if there’s one thing I love more than sprinkles it is sending happy mail to my sisters and the nieces and nephews. Someone’s got to be the favorite aunt, and why shouldn’t [Read More…]

Make Your Own Delicious Italian Cream Sodas + Free Printable

italian-cream-soda-MAIN

Italian cream sodas have been deliciously popular over the past little while–and not only are they yummy to drink, they are really easy to make! I made them quite a bit this summer–at girls camp for our church, at our family trip to Lake Powell, and most recently we made them for our Back to School dinner. Here’s what you need to make your own Italian Cream Sodas: Ice Club Soda Flavored Syrup (it’s fun to have a variety of your favorite flavors!) Half and half straws one-ounce measuring cups (I got some at Walmart) I bought these bottles of flavored syrup at Orson Gygi in Salt Lake City. They were only about $4.99 for nearly 26 ounces of syrup–which is one of the best prices I found. They have tons of different flavors; our favorites were raspberry, peach, strawberry, vanilla, orange and watermelon. I made a cute little printable to set up at the table so people know how [Read More…]
