Easter & Spring Printables

Encircled in the Arms of My Love Inspiring Printable

You know that we love to share an inspiring printable with you the first Sunday of each month and I’m so happy it’s my turn so I can wish you Happy Easter Sunday!    I sure hope that your Easter has been wonderful so far.  Mine has been spent with family and friends being reminded of the amazing gift our Savior gave to us.

I found this quote:

“At this Easter season we are reminded of why we love Him and of the promise He makes to His faithful disciples to become His beloved friends. The Savior made that promise and told us how, in our service to Him, He comes to us. … ‘Be faithful and diligent in keeping the commandments of God, and I will encircle thee in the arms of my love’ (D&C 6:20). I experienced the joy of coming closer to the Savior and of His coming closer to me most often through simple acts of obedience to the commandments.”

—Henry B. Eyring, ““Come unto Me”

I loved the scripture quoted and wanted to have it to remind me that I can be encircled in the arms of His love.  That thought is so beautiful to me.  I hope you enjoy it too and have made the printable available below.

Spring Time Don't Eat Pete! "Don't Eat My Bunny"

“Don’t Eat Pete” is a favorite game at our house!  We love playing it for family night.  I made a “Spring Time Don’t Eat Pete” version to play this week!…Don’t Eat My Bunny!

Sharing a free printable for you!  Print (8×11.5).

Place one Easter candy (m & m’s, & skittles are good ideas for candy) in each square of the “Don’t Eat My Bunny” Sheet. Send a child away from the room and have the remaining children choose which Bunny will be “Pete”.  Have the first child come back and begin eating the candy on each bunny, one at a time. As soon as the child tries to pick up the candy that is on the “Pete” Bunny, everyone yells, “Don’t eat my Bunny!!!!” Let each child have a turn and refill the game board with treats.  Repeat this again and again!
This is also a great game for class parties, family parties, or Family night!  We love it!

I saw these Easter Peep Houses on Yesterfood.  So stinkin’ cute!  Every year at Christmas time my kids look forward to decorating gingerbread houses…it is one of their favorite traditions…so I knew they would love make these Peep houses.  They were so easy to prepare for…only a few items were needed, and the kids had so much fun adding their own creativity to their Peep House.

I love how our Easter Peep Houses turned out.  They are so cute to display through the month.  Or to use as a centerpiece.  I love seeing their little creations around my house.  Add the Easter Peep Houses to a cake stand…and place on your counter.

What you will need to make Easter Peep Houses:

-Graham Crackers (5 halves per house-look at picture below)

-Paper plates (I like colored ones…green or yellow…or pink)

-Peeps  (We used bunnies and chicks)

-Edible Easter grass (Found near the Easter candy in the grocery store…just learned of edible grass this year!- The possibilities are endless with it!)

-Jelly Beans

-Larger Easter Egg Candy

-Any other candy you would like

peep house items

Secret weapon…Hot Glue!  Before the kids decorate…I glue the houses together.  You can see in the photo above how I constructed each house using hot glue.  This does the trick!

Then the kids can add the frosting, jellybeans, edible grass, and Peeps!  Such a fun, adorable Easter and Spring Craft!

I love a good holiday printable…who doesn’t? It’s such an easy way to add holiday decor into your home. This super easy DIY photo mat and Easter printable was perfect for my entryway. Here’s what I did…

First, I needed a frame. I found a simple black one at the dollar store and spray painted it gold.

To make the mat I used a piece of regular cardboard. You’ll want to make sure that whatever you use won’t be too thick to fit back into your frame when it’s all done. You might need to use something that’s not quite so thick, like a gift box, cereal box, or even a piece of cardstock. I used a plain photo mat that I already had as a stencil.  I traced it onto the cardboard and cut it out using a razor knife.

I used scrapbook paper to cover mine. Wrapping paper would work great, too!

I would have used Mod Podge to glue my paper to the cardboard, but I’m fresh out. I know, I was just as surprised as you. I used rubber cement instead. It’s paper, so really, any glue will do.

After I glued my cardboard to the back side of my scrapbook paper, I cut the corners off. I also cut an X in the middle of the mat like so…

Then, I folded and glued each side, trimming the paper as needed as not to have any hanging over.

And, that’s it.

I put it in my shiny new frame with my Easter printable and…

I love it! It’s perfect next to my “chocolate” bunny!

I knew my kids would love having their names on their Easter baskets this year.  I found these Chevron Striped Easter Totes.  It was hard to choose which basket/tote to get…I love them all.

To make these basket totes even more special and personalized, I made sweet little coupon cards to add to eggs in my kids’ baskets.  Each coupon represents something my kids would love to do.  These are even better than toys!  “Getting out of a Chore”…my kids will love that!

Life is Beautiful!

Oh I love this time of year and love decorating my house with inspiring messages.  This one is perfect for springtime don’t ya think?  I love the soft hues of the flowers peeking through in the background and that beautiful script font.

I was needing something for this little spot in my basement.  It’s on top of a bookshelf that my girls access all the time.  I want them to remember how beautiful life is and to look for the beauty in life.

This would also make a fun gift for a friend.

OF course I want to share with all of you! This print is a 8×10 and can be downloaded below.
