Christmas Gifts for Groups
We all have them– co-workers, friends, neighbors, and family who we like to give gifts to but sometimes time and money end up stopping us. Here are simple and inexpensive gift ideas for the groups in your life. So simple and so inexpensive that it is borderline embarrassing for me to disclose how little I actually spent on the gifts! Here are some of my favorite Christmas gifts for groups.
1 :: Reindeer Noses. Add your favorite red and green candy (jelly beans, gum drops, Christmas sours, or M&M’s) to a glass jar, tie with a ribbon and add this tag I made and you are set! I used spice jars from Ikea (4 for $2.99) and peanut M&M’s.
2 :: Embellished Picture Frame. I found this brown corduroy frame at the dollar store Honk’s (does your Honk’s have 88¢ Tuesdays?) and added some simple rolled flowers from my stash of fabric and a few berries. I digi scrapped the Joy and added it to the frame. I haven’t decided if my husband will be giving these to the ladies in his office or if they will be our neighbor gifts for the year.
3:: Wooden block Nativity Finally, a nativity they can touch! Last year we gave these wooden nativities to my son’s pre-school friends and they were a hit! It would make a great gift for any home with little hands or a primary class. I measured how tall and wide each piece was and had wood cut to those dimensions. Then I just painted the front of the wood white, sanded the edges, and stained the entire block. I bought the Color Me Nativity and printed it on clear sticker paper. (It is a downloadable file that you can use over and over, but if you don’t have Photoshop you can use it in Microsoft Word). Put the sticker on the block and mod podged over the top to prevent smudging. The nativity comes with a lot more characters, but we decided to stick to the basics. You could skip the wood blocks and print the nativity on magnet paper for the little hands to play with too!
4 :: Personalized card holders also make great gifts for little hands.
5 :: Santa’s Magic Key Living in a house without a chimney, but with Believers we are often asked how Santa gets in the house. This little poem is the answer to that difficult question. Download the poem and the tag and all you’ll need to add is the key!

Good old pine. The pieces are small enough that most were cut from the scrap pile 🙂
I love the wood block nativity. I’m not too crafty. Do you mind if I ask some basic questions?
1. I can only find clear sticker paper for an inkjet printer. Is that what you used? I just don’t want the glue to cause the ink to run. I imagine that this kind of label won’t work on a laser printer because of the heat, though.
2. Do you use the Avery brand stickers, or another?
3. Did you print them on your home printer?

Sunny-I used Avery’s inkjet clear sticker paper with an inkjet printer. I’m not sure how well a laser printer would work on them, but I have been known to send a lot of inkjet only material through our laserjet and nothing has been ruined yet 🙂 Hope that helps!
Thanks! I guess my main concern is that I don’t have a very good printer. I often get graphics printed at Office Depot for a nominal fee, but they only have laser printers, and the transparent stickers and magnet paper are both for inkjet. I don’t want to risk waiting on the paper to come in the mail, then it not work.
I supposed I could have called around to see if other places will print on an inkjet, but I’m out of time and want to get this part done today. So I just ordered the same graphics but on white stickers, which I know they print because I’ve done it before.
Do you see any problem with this scenario? Any feedback welcome!

The nativity set is so adorable. We are traveling to Scotland for the birth of our first grandchild. The kids have little space for things, but I think this would be a phenominal gift for this. I am not a bit crafty, could I twist your arm and ask if I could commission one of these fantastic sets.
