Now that you know where to book, let’s talk more about Disneyland Halloween Time, specifically for little kids. Being a mom of two boys and a baby girl myself, I know Disneyland truly is the Happiest Place on Earth for them. What can make their experience even more magical and memorable is taking them during Disneyland Halloween Time. Why? Let me tell you.

They can celebrate the season:

What better way to celebrate fall than at the Disneyland Resort, especially when it’s decked out in Halloween decor? Your kids will LOVE all the ride holiday overlays, terror-ific treats and festive tunes. And the best part is… Cars Land is going to be a part of the fun this year! That’s right, Radiator Springs is transforming into Radiator Screams. How cute is that? I don’t know about you but my boys love everything about Cars! I can’t wait to see the look on their faces when they see Mater and Lightning McQueen in their costumes. When you’re racing around Cars Land, jump on Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree and Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween.

Make sure to experience the holiday ride overlays during this not-so-spooky time as well. If you’re in Disneyland and your littles love mysteries, hop on Haunted Mansion Holiday. My favorite part is the gingerbread house in the ballroom scene. They change it every year, and it smells sooo good. If your kids are a little older, you can take them on Space Mountain: Ghost Galaxy. It’s a lot of fun, but it’s also legitimately scary.

Other festivities include the Pumpkin Festival on Main Street U.S.A. and the Dia de los Muertos celebration in Frontierland. Both are really cute and make awesome photo backdrops.

You can also purchase a separate ticket for Mickey’s Halloween Party. This year the parties start September 20. In September, they are held on the 20th, 22nd, 25th, 27th and 29th. In October, Mickey’s Halloween Party will be every Tuesday and Friday. If you and your kids love Halloween, it would make a really great addition to our Disneyland packages.

The event includes trick-or-treating with your little ones in Disneyland. You’ll also have the chance to see Disney villains throughout the park not seen during the regular season. It’s the perfect time to introduce them to your kids and snap a photo. Tickets are only available through Disney and are roughly $100 per person ages 3 and up. You certainly don’t need to go to Mickey’s Halloween Party during Disneyland Halloween Time, but you should know about it.

If you’re not planning on going to the event, you’ll have to leave Disneyland at 6pm or 7pm on party nights. You can head over to Disney California Adventure for your own non-stop party. Or, it would be a good time to make a dinner reservation for Goofy’s Kitchen, or any of the fun restaurants in Downtown Disney. Whichever ride, show or event you experience, the Halloween spirit will be felt by all. And no matter which park you’re in, your kids will have a blast!

They can wear costumes:

During Halloween Time at the parks, your kiddos can WEAR COSTUMES. What little kids don’t love dressing up as a superhero, princess or their favorite Disney character? I know my little boys love to any chance they get. My four-year-old even had a costume birthday party in May! There are specific costume guidelines on Disneyland’s website for safety. However, the fact that they can disguise themselves at all is a chance your kids won’t want to miss.

They can eat goodies:

We all know Disneyland has the BEST treats and goodies, and Halloween Time is no exception. Whether your children love apples dipped in caramel or churros sprinkled in sugar, Disneyland has got you covered. You’ll see things like Jack Skellington candy apples, ghoulish cake pops and pumpkin churros. My personal favorite are the Mickey beignets from the Mint Julep Bar. They have seasonal flavors, and the butterscotch for fall are the best.
