DIY Birthday Banner
I wanted to make a little DIY Birthday Banner this month . I was going to sew one, but since that would be too tricky and time consuming, I thought I would digi scrap one. I used the cookie cutter tool in photoshop to cut out the rounded corner squares and circles. I just made one of each and used them as a template to finish the words. I printed them 5×5 and then mounted them on card stock. I used scalloped scissors to make the cute edge. I strung the letters together and added cute ribbon in between each letter.
I also used the Autumn Medley kit from Shabby Princess for this project.
I am thinking of making a Halloween one now. It was a fun and quick project.
Wow. Another blog to stalk. You made that banner? I used to be crafty, but swear I have lost it! I will be copying your ideas (as if I could figure them out on my own). Where are you living now? You can answer to my email if you want. [email protected]
That birthday banner turned out extra cute!! I love the combinations of colors and textures.
Ok. I know this is serious stalking now. I’m wondering where you live because I totally think you should start a craft club. I would pay to come and have you show us how to make these cute things! I’d even love to host it. Maybe you already have one….I’m rambling–I think I should head to bed.
And its even CUTER in person!! What a crafty one you are. I can’t wait to see all of the fun birthday pics. Love those muffins
You are too crafty Jamie. I love the banner. I will have to make one for next year…since I have 2 October Birthdays now. 🙂
So darling. That’s so funny because I made a thanksgiving banner out of that exact same kit but haven’t posted it yet!! Great minds think alike. 🙂
You are a crafty little gal. Maybe we should have our own super Saturday.
