When my oldest went into 2nd Grade she started learning all about money. What each coin was, the amount for each, and how to add them together. I decided to make this fun Coin Bingo to help her get those facts down, but in a fun way without using regular old worksheets. Now all my girls love to play this fun Coin Bingo.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Copies of the Coin Bingo Free Printable.
  • Random amount of change. Grab your change jar.
  • Cups to hold the change for each player.

First, download and print out the copies of the Coin Bingo Printables.

We play this a little different then normal Bingo, but the main idea of, the first to get 4 in a row, still applies. I give each child their cup of coins and then have them all start at the same time and race to see who can get Bingo first. It’s fun to see them grab a coin and find where it belongs.

My girls had a blast clearing the board and racing time after time. Kids will have fun and stay busy, all the while they are learning.

  1. Thank you Becky for sharing this activity. I am a Senior at Southeast Missouri State University, and for one of my education courses we had to find a math activity for First grade. After finding a State and National Standard, my group had to do an activity for students to learn the value of a penny, nickel, dime, and quarter. With your help, my group was able to play this game.
