Sugar Cookie Snowball Truffles
Sugar Cookie Snowball Truffles
Hey there! This is Shauna from Ella and Annie. We are back with some last minute sugar cookie snowball truffles! This is an easy, last minute dessert sure to please family and friends. Similar to cake balls but made with cookies! You can use our delicious homemade sugar cookie recipe with a secret ingredient or buy pre-made soft sugar cookies from your local grocery store.
Ingredients:
- 10-12 Sugar Cookies
- 3-4 Tablespoons Vanilla Frosting
- White Chocolate Chips
- Blue and White Holiday Sprinkles
Directions:
Using your hands, crumble the cookies until they are fine crumbs. Mix in the vanilla frosting until the cookies become dough like. Roll them into small 1″ balls. Place them on a parchment lined baking sheet and chill for 10-15 minutes.
Melt the white chocolate chips with 1/2 teaspoon coconut oil in 30 second intervals with your microwave. Mix with each interval until all the white chocolate chips have melted and you have a smooth consistency.
Put the sugar cookie balls into the bowl of melted white chocolate one by one. Use a fork to gently roll the boll around and cover it completely. Lift the sugar cookie ball with the fork and lightly tap the fork on the edge of the bowl to shake off any excess chocolate. Put the sugar cookie ball back on the parchment lined cookie sheet. Repeat with each sugar cookie ball. Place the cookie balls in the fridge to harden. You can dip them twice for full coverage.
Once you’ve completed dipping the sugar cookie ball truffles, sprinkle with the blue and white holiday sprinkles before you place in the fridge to set. That’s it! Pretty easy right? Once the sugar cookie ball truffles have set, you can store at room temperature in a tupperware or place in pretty cellophane bags to give as gifts. They won’t last long!
They look delicious and sure look easy enough to make.
Thank You
Wishing you and your family a Very Merry Christmas
