Back to School USB Charger Teacher Gift

This post is part of Michaels Back to School Challenge.

When Michaels asked us to participate in their Back to School Challenge, things suddenly got real around here. Summer is almost over!

On the first day of school I try to send a small gift and a note for his teacher, letting them know we are excited for the year and that I would like to be involved in their classroom. I find that it not only helps my relationship with the teacher, but is a great ice breaker for my timid guy on the first day of school.  There’s nothing like giving a gift to help you feel like friends.

This year he will have a male teacher half of the day, and I realize cute things are lost on them. These bright USB car chargers caught my eye on an end cap at Michaels! And who doesn’t need a car charger?! Plus I think it qualifies as an electronic gadget.

I made up a fun printable to go along with the charger (download below).

There were a lot of charger colors to choose from, so I turned the decision making over to the boy. He chose the green charger for the “boy teacher”. We taped it on the card with black and white polka dotted washi. It is cute, but still has a manly feel to it.

And for his other teacher, the female, he chose a pink charger. Which we wrapped up with baker’s twine and a bow.

michaels Whether or not you give back to school teacher gifts, don’t forget to download the Michaels app, so you’ll always have the latest deals and coupons at your fingertips.

Did you know that Michaels offers teachers a 15% discount every day of the year? In addition to their craft and art supplies, they have a good selection of fun classroom supplies.

I included a bonus color scheme that wasn’t photographed.
