Hello! We are back with another round of printables–this time it’s all about Halloween!! Don’t miss the fall printables from last month. Check out that awesomeness above–I’m so excited for every one of these printables!
I’m the PTA room mom coordinator for our elementary school this year, so Mr. Bones here was created to help make all room mom’s a little less frazzled when they are put in charge of a game for the class party. You play just like you would pin the tail on the donkey, only using bow ties.
And at 3 feet wide and 4 feet tall, Mr. Bones is practically life size. The secret to getting him printed so big for a killer price is to upload him to Staples or another printer that offers engineering prints. A black and white print this size will only set you back about $7 (but feel free to print him smaller if you’d like). Note that the printing will not be perfect, but for this it will be just fine. Because engineering prints are typically for blueprint printing some printers don’t like to print a lot of black like this, so I’ve made a lighter one as well.
Printing takes 1 hour at our local Staples, but you may want to check with your printer before the day of the party. With Mr. Bones in hand, a blindfold and some bow ties (tutorial below) you will be set for the party.
Mr. Bones Black
Mr. Bones White
There’s a cheater’s way to tie the perfect bow. Fabric and ribbon will both work. The measurements really depend on how big of a bow you want, but here’s how I made our Mr. Bones’ ties. First cut a piece about a foot long and 1-2″ wide and another piece just a couple of inches long. Fold the longer piece in half and glue. Then pinch the tie in the middle and wrap the smaller piece around it and use glue to secure. I think a basket of these would be really fun to use. But let’s face it, the last thing mom’s want to be doing the night before a party is making 20 little bow ties. So I’m giving you a bow tie printable that you can print on colored cardstock and cut out if that is more your style!
