Howdy everyone! I’m so excited to be guest posting over here on the Crafting Chicks. How amazing has this 12 Days of Christmas series been? I’m loving all these ideas! I chose 10 Lords A Leaping because some days that is what my life feels like as a mom of 4 boys! I wanted a simple & easy gift giving idea that could be used for all those last minute people you might have forgotten (coaches, babysitters, teachers, neighbors). They say it takes a village, and let me tell ya–our village is HUGE. I’m guessing yours is to, so whip these up now and put them in the pantry for when ya need them the most! I can’t wait to share this Santa Claus is Coming to Town Gift Idea and FREE Printable!
These are so simple to put together. First, I purchased the red cups at Walmart. They are made by Wilton and are sold in sets of 5 for around $1. I’m sure they are readily available at the craft store too.
I filled mine with Hershey Kisses, but any colorful candy or small treats would work.
The cup is just plain red, but I remedied that problem and made it have that “Santa’s Belly” look. I used my cricut but you could just as easily do this by hand. I cut a half inch piece of black vinyl to wrap all the way around. I used a 1 inch square and cut out a 1/2 inch square out of the middle. I actually used iron on sparkly material because that was all I had on hand. A quick spray of spray adhesive and it stuck on the cup no problem!
I would love to get a sweet treat like this, wouldn’t you?
To finish off this package I Â wrapped the cup with a regular quart size sandwich bag. Yes, seriously. To do this, place the cup into the bag. You will see the two bottom corners stick out. Make them into a triangle like shape and fold in to the bottom of the cup. Secure with a piece of scotch tape! Cut the zipper part off evenly at the top. Bunch together, secure with twine and decorate with ribbon. How easy was that?
Since you have taken all this time to prepare such a cute gift, it should have a cute coordinated tag, don’t you think? These wonderful coordinating tags are just so delightful—and the best part—FREE!
You can download these cuties by clicking on the button below!
The tag can be used for other gifts, like candy bars, a pack of cute stationary, or a gift card. The sky’s the limit!
mmmmm…..chocolate. Need I say more?
