I’m always looking for ways to make gift giving more fun. I love to get nice wrapping paper, great tape, and scissors that make me feel like I’m cutting through butter.

And you know, I also love making my gifts look beautiful and very personal. Like I’ve gone the extra mile just for you.

That’s why I was so excited to partner with Offray Ribbon to great this fun, and easy Button Christmas Tree Gift Tag.

Here are the supplies needed to make your own Button Christmas Tree Gift Tag.

  • Offray Ribbon, I loved this tartan plaid, a lime green, and of course the red gingham. Buy ribbon at Walmart or JoAnn or online at Offray.com
  • Variety of Green Buttons, we love the Button Lovers. Buy buttons at Walmart, JoAnn, or buttons.com
  • Cream Cardstock
  • Scissors
  • Hole Punch
  • Hot Glue Gun

Supplies needed to make Button Christmas Tree Gift Tag

Begin by cutting out your tag from the cardstock.

I cut the cardstock 3.5 inches by 4.5 inches long. Then I just cut angles out of the sides of the top and added a hole with the Hole Punch.

Next, we’ll add the buttons in a tree shape.

Arraign your buttons however you’d like. I added my buttons by shape and size. I placed the smallest button at the top, and then went up in size to the largest ones on the bottom.

Begin glueing them on the cardstock with a hot glue gun.

And keep going until you have a triangle shape.

Once you are doing with the shape, it can look kinda strange. Like a random triangle. This is where we add the tree trunk.

Just place a little bit of hot glue, or any adhesive you’d like, on some brown paper, and place under the button tree.

The tag is pretty cute, but I wanted to kick it up a level. I added some Offray Ribbon to the bottom of the tag.

Just run some more hot glue along the bottom. Place a length of ribbon along the glue, and trim to fit.

Add Ribbon to the Button Christmas Tree Gift Tag

I couldn’t decide which ribbon I liked best. They are just so much fun.
