Crayon Resist Spray Bottle Painting
A perfect summertime activity that combines water play and art!
Kids will love this fun crayon resist art project to do in their own back yard!
What You’ll Need for Crayon Resist Spray Bottle Painting:
- -Spray Bottles
- -Food Coloring
- -White Cardstock
- -Water
- -White Crayons
Step 1:
Draw a picture on white cardstock with a white crayon. Try and fill up the sheet with a larger shape or image. Press somewhat hard to get enough white crayon on the sheet. Some ideas are hearts, sporting goods, bugs, dinosaurs, butterflies, flowers, trees, etc.
Step 2:
Mix about 1/4 C. water and 5-6 drops of food coloring to a spray bottle. Close the lid, and shake to mix the water and food coloring.
Step 3:
Outside or on newspaper, spray the drawing with the colorful water. Try adding a few different colors. Your crayon resist image should appear:)
Step 4:
Allow to dry and display for all to see!
