Pumpkin Shadow Puppets
Hi friends!
Rachel from Fawn Parties here today and I’m excited to share this fun pumpkin shadow puppet project with you.
The sweet 5 Little Pumpkins poem is a childhood classic. Turn it into a fun playtime activity for your kids! They’ll have a blast reciting the poem and playing with the puppets and you’ll love how easy it is to make them. Be prepared for hours of fun and entertainment!
Five little pumpkins sitting on a gate.
The first one said, “Oh, my it’s getting late!”
The second one said, “there are witches in the air.”
The third one said, “But we don’t care.”
The fourth one said, “Let’s run and run and run!”
The fifth one said, “Isn’t Halloween fun!”
Oooooooh, went the wind and out went the lights
and the five little pumpkins rolled out of sight.
This project is quick and easy so let’s get started!
What you’ll need:
- Glitter Cardstock
- Bamboo Skewers
- Bakers Twine
- Cutting Machine
- Adhesive
Using your electronic cutting machine, cut out five pumpkins and one small gate. Adhere the bamboo skewers to the back of the pumpkins using glue and allow to dry.
Download the free 5 Little Pumpkins poem HERE and print it out on white cardstock. After the poem has been printed, cut it out and attach it to Halloween patterned paper.
Punch a hole in the corner and thread bakers twine through the hole. Tie the poem to the sticks of the puppets.
And that’s it! Quick and easy but oh so adorable!
If you “BOO” your neighbors, this would be a fun BOO gift! Simply bundle the puppets all together, add the poem and a little bakers twine and you’re all set!
Now the fun begins! Grab a flashlight, turn off the lights and get ready for your puppets to come to life!
You and your kids will have so much fun on those chilly October evenings playing with these adorable shadow puppets.
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a spooktacular Halloween!
