Reading week on The Crafting Chicks is off to a great start and we can’t wait to spark some fun ideas for summer reading at home.
I’m always on a quest to get my kids excited for reading and books! Summertime is the best time to encourage extra reading at home and enjoy some quiet moments with a book.
It is the perfect way to encourage summer reading! Kids will love this fun game of Reading around the house! Mom’s will love seeing their kids read!

To Play Read-A-Thon Bingo at Home:
Print the free printable Read-A-Thon Bingo at Home Sheet.
Have kids gather their favorite books. Chapter books, picture books, poems, etc…let them choose a wide variety. Older kids may want to begin a new favorite chapter book.
Encourage kids to read around the house during the Read-a-thon at home. Tell them that they will spend about 5 or 10 minutes (you choose) checking off each square.
Kids can cross off each square as they complete that reading challenge.
A prize at the end is always fun! It could even be getting ice cream together or a few items at the dollar store!
Kids will love reading around the house and playing this fun game of reading at home!
