Make this easy seasons activity with your kids for a perfect boredom buster!
One of my most favorite things as kids were these fortune tellers…of course I was boy crazy and they were all filled with my latest crushes! Ha! Tiffany here from Making the World Cuter with a fun printable fortune teller, filled with not cute boys but with fun season based activities that your kids can do all year long! This would be fun for a boredom buster or perfect in a classroom setting when teaching about the four seasons!
Supplies
For this project, all you will need is the FREE PRINTABLE, (I printed mine on card stock) and a pair of scissors or paper trimmer.
This is a totally kid friendly project, and they can probably even teach YOU how to fold these! But if you need a little refresher on how to fold a fortune teller…or if you haven’t done one before while trying to divine your future with which 12 year old boy was going to grow up to be a billionaire astronaut…here is that tutorial! 😉
Seasons Activity Fortune Teller
First, cut your printable out into a square. Just cut around the lines.
Next, fold in half on the diagonal, right on the line.
Then open and turn it sideways and do it again. Open it up and put the design side down. Next fold up each corner and have them meet in the middle. The lines on the printable make this really easy to see where to fold. Once all four corners are folded in, turn the whole thing over.
Next you will fold in these four corners into the middle, again following the lines on the printable. You should have all the numbers on top when this step is done. Turn over one more time.
Finally, have your little one stick their cute little fingers under the flaps and push together, making this fun seasons activity fortune teller!
It will only take them a minute to get the hang of opening the flaps back and forth. There are lots of ways to decide when it is time to open a flap. My kids choose a season and then say them in order while flipping back and forth with the numbers.
Then, when they stop they choose a number and flip back and forth that many times before they choose another number.
Finally they open that numbered flap to see what activity they get to do.
