Spider Web Cupcakes
We had a Halloween Birthday Party for my little boy this year. He requested spider cupcakes. I am not a chocolatier…but I had fun making these easy simple Spider Web Cupcakes.
I made chocolate cupcakes with white buttercream frosting.
Using Black Wilton Candy Melts (melted in the microwave following the instructions on the bag), I piped my spider web shape onto wax paper. You start by making a plus sign and then an x through the plus sign. So 8 lines out from the middle of the web. Using a U shape, connect the lines at the top and in the middle. The candy melts were so easy to work with.
Make sure you have a fine tip decorating tip. It pipes out so smooth. Don’t worry if they look perfect…every spider web is different right?!
I added orange spider rings to the center. These were so fun to make. The kids loved them and my little guy was a happy camper on his birthday party!
We want to try them next year with chocolate frosting, white candy melt spider webs and black spiders! These would make a fun dessert to take to those Halloween parties.
Thank you Jamie for the ez instructions on making the spider webs!
