Summer Entertaining Kit

Hello Everyone! Heidi here from Home By Heidi I am excited to be here on The Crafting Chicks today!

The kids are out of school and the warm weather is upon us. For me that means fun filled days and perfect summer nights of activities and, of course, lots of friends and family! My hubby and I are lucky enough to live by both sets of families. At any given time family might stop by and it’s always so fun to offer them food, a comfy seat and maybe an occasional roasting stick with a marshmallow on it:) I like to be prepared so everyone feels at home! When I saw this long box at Michaels, I just knew it was exactly what I needed for this coming summer! So the idea began for my Summer Entertaining Kit! I found the box in the nautical section of Michaels. It has hanging hooks on the back, I assume the intent was to hang it on the wall…but I had other ideas! I grabbed it for 50% off (score!) Each individual box is large enough for plenty of knives, forks and spoons… plus a few extra spaces for napkins and colorful straws. I love that everything is all in one place and that it’s easy to grab when in need. Lately, I have been drawn to the color combination of cobalt blue and yellow! When I saw these blue and white plates at Target, I just couldn’t pass them by. I love how they go so well with my Summer Entertaining Kit. I already owned the lemon pitcher; I bought it a few years back at Tai Pan in Salt Lake.
