The White Stocking
This is one of our favorite Christmas Eve traditions and I’m so happy to be sharing it today with you! We’ve been doing this as an extended family on my side for years. It all began with a white stocking and the Poem “the White Stocking” below by the talented Regina Slaugh. Each Christmas Eve, we get together after dinner, games and activities, and we read our last year goals/gifts to Jesus. We pull each one out of the white stocking. It’s fun to look back and see what each of us wrote the previous year.
You can download a copy of the poem below.
Then our family each writes down a gift they would like to give Jesus for the next year. We add these to the White Stocking for Jesus. This tradition helps our family focus on the true meaning of Christ. You can download my mini paper socks below. Each family member can write their goal/gift on a stocking. We also add the year and name.
I love this thank you so much for sharing!
This is adorable. Think I will make a few White Stocking’s for a couple of families and UPS this to them for this Years gifts.
Thank you for this wonderful poem and your willingness to share it. May God bless you.
