Dinner Time Conversation Tree

Dinner Time Conversation Tree

I love dinnertime with my family. Sometimes life gets so crazy with after school activities and I crave this time with my family. I know my kids love it just as much as I do.

I’m sharing today our Dinner Time Conversation Tree Centerpiece with you. We have just started doing it and my family loves it. It is so easy and simple to pull together…and it makes for a pretty table centerpiece.

Also, this is a lovely idea for Holiday entertaining at Thanksgiving or Christmas time.

To make the tree, you will need a vase full of flowers or branches…most anything with stems and leaves will work.

You will also need to print out questions or conversation starters. I found my ideas for questions on The Family Dinner Project. (What a great project…full of so many awesome dinnertime and family ideas!)

I copied their conversation ideas into Word and added a few of our own. I printed these on white cardstock.

I make sure there are about 20 questions ready to go each dinner. We usually only get through a few. The kids love taking turns picking a question. Our dinner guests love this too!

I feel like this has helped our family so much at dinner time! So unplug (hide those phones and ipads) and talk to each other. It is amazing how much a 30 minute dinner where we are all focused on each other can make a world of difference in our family!
