These DIY Easter kitchen towels are easy to make and require no sewing!

Hi there! It’s Lydi from Lydi Out Loud, nice to see you again! I’ve been busy decorating and crafting for Easter and I’m excited to share my easy no-sew Easter kitchen towels with you today. DIY kitchen towels are a fun and easy way to add some holiday decor to the kitchen and these Easter kitchen towels are some of my favorites (along with my kitchen pun towels!) I’m embarrassed to admit here on The Crafting Chicks that this chick cannot sew. I’d like to try it someday but I don’t even have a sewing machine so for now, no-sew crafts are my jam!

Here’s how you can make some Easter kitchen towels of your own:

Supplies

Directions

  1. Open the Easter egg cut file in Cricut Design Space and just the eggs to desired size. Each egg has been sliced into 4 pieces so that you can choose different colors/fabrics.No-sew Easter Kitchen Towels
  2. Cut out Easter egg pieces from pastel fabrics. To cut fabric with the Cricut, first apply Heat & Bond to the back of the fabric according to product directions (the paper liner facing up). Once cooled, firmly press the fabric (with the heat and bond liner side down) onto a strong grip cutting mat. Cut with a deep cut blade on the bonded fabric setting. Remove fabric from the mat and peel off the plastic liner.
  3. Remove fabric from the mat and peel off the plastic liner. Position the fabric pieces onto the Easter kitchen towel as desired. I added ribbon and trim to give some texture difference.No-sew Easter Kitchen TowelsNo-sew Easter Kitchen Towels
  4. Once fabric pieces are positioned, press with with iron set to medium heat to secure to the towel (use a lift and press motion with the iron to avoid fabric from shifting).No-sew Easter Kitchen Towels
  5. If you want to add trim to the bottom of your Easter kitchen towels, cut a 3″ strip of fabric to span the width of the bottom of the towel. Fold the strip in half and iron heat and bond onto the back of the folded strip. Apply a thin strip of permanent fabric glue to the front and back of a strip of fringe or pom-poms and place inside of the folded strip of fabric. Fold the fabric closed to attach to the fringe/pom-poms. Remove the liner and iron the strip onto the towel. No-sew Easter Kitchen TowelsNo-sew Easter Kitchen Towels

  1. Love the look of these and the colors you used, they are perfect for springtime. I will have to try out the HeatnBond technique, it seems much easier and the result looks so much better than if it had seams!
