Ella and Annie wanted to share some delicious fruit infused water recipes with you that can not only help curb soda cravings but also keep you hydrated throughout your day! I buy sparkling waters weekly and also love the Hint waters, but it can get so expensive, so I decided to come up with a few fruit infused water combinations myself that are tasty and good for your health.
Here are some of the health benefits to infusing your water with fruit:
- You get 20% of the nutrients from the fruits and herbs you put into the water.
- Without water our bodies get dehydrated and we can start to feel unusually fatigued.
- It tastes good and there is no added sugar like soda or Vitamin water.
Get creative and pair your favorite fruits, veggies and herbs together. Below are some of my favorite combinations.
Combine mint, blueberries, cucumber and lemon together. These fruit infused water recipes have tons of health benefits, here is why:
Mint aids in digestion and can also help with nausea and headaches. Blueberries support heart health and lemons are loaded with vitamin C. Cucumbers are 90% water and contain Vitamin A and C. Can you believe this!!? Maybe you need a sweeter water to help curb soda cravings, try my pineapple, mint and raspberries water.
Pineapple with naturally sweeten your water without having to add sugar! Did you know that pineapple can help heal wounds and protect against infections. Pineapple is also high in vitamin C. Raspberries contain antioxidants that help fight against cancer.
I love citrus water but needed a tad bit more sweetness so I added fresh organic strawberries. Strawberries are loaded with antioxidants, fiber and Vitamin C. They are low-calorie and contain no sodium! Did you know that limes can help reduce dandruff? Crazy, right? Limes also aid in weight loss and help regulate sugar absorption.
How can you not be blown away with these fruit infused water recipes? It it tasty, great for your health and pretty I might add.
