Fruit Pizzas with Toca Kitchen 2

Last week, I downloaded the new Kitchen 2 app from Toca Boca and my kids can’t get enough! They love being in control of the kitchen, and the hilarious characters’ reactions to what they feed them just encourages them more!
The game is designed for ages 4 and up, but my 2 year old loves it too! After hours of playing together, we set the phone down and took to the kitchen to create real life food together! Time to make Fruit Pizzas with Toca Kitchen 2!
First, we went to the grocery store and I gave the kids complete control. I even let them use these little carts that I despise! (Seriously, have you ever had your ankles ran into by one of these?)
Aside from the bulk candy section, I gave them permission to fill their carts with whatever they wanted. But we didn’t make it out of the produce section before the carts were loaded full! This guy right here is the pickiest eater you may ever meet, but he loves his fruits and veggies!
Making frosting is a messy job!
Just like in the app, the kids were able to use a kitchen knife to slice up the fruit they picked out. To enjoy, they piled it on a frosted sugar cookie to create a mini fruit pizza!
- 1 c. butter, softened
- 1½ c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 3¼ c. flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 tsp. cream of tartar
- Cream butter, sugar and eggs. Mix in dry ingredients.
- Drop with a scoop onto baking sheet.
- Bake at 375 for 8-10 minutes
What a fun idea! My 12 year old LOVES to help me in the kitchen and I bet he would have loved that app when he was younger 🙂
