Homemade Brownies and Gelato

One of my favorite things to do for Valentine’s Day dinner is prepare a yummy dessert for my husband. This year I am going with Homemade Brownies and Mint Chocolate Gelato. My husband LOVES mint chocolate gelato and I love adding warm homemade brownies to anything.
Here’s the yummy Brownie recipe.
- 2 squares of butter or margarine (melted)
- ½ cup cocoa
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 eggs
- 2 t. vanilla
- 1½ cups flour
- Melt the butter and then add the cocoa.
- Stir in 2 cups sugar. Add the eggs 1 at a time. Stir in vanilla and flour.
- Bake in a 9 x 13 pan for 30 mins at 350.
I felt like this dessert will give us a new reason to spoon: Breyers Gelato Indulgences. (Get it!?! SPOON!!)
We are always trying to find new desserts for out date nights out and now our at date nights in are going to be even better because we can enjoy this yummy creamy gelato, luscious sauces and gourmet toppings at home.
Another way I took this over the top was designing a fun card for my husband.

Looks delicious!! What are two squares of butter? Two tablespoons? Thanks!
It’s 2 cubes of butter, or 1 cup. Thanks!
