{Mini Cake Stands and Washi Tape Mini Cake Banners- Bake Shop Party Part II}
Paris Bake Shop Party- Part II
MINI CAKE STANDS:
I used these little 7″ plastic plates (from Walmart), and dollar store glass candlesticks (spray painted blue) to make my mini cake stands for the bake shop party. I just used hot glue to attach the plate. They turned out so cute.
When spray painting the candlesticks, I used a primer before the blue…that way the paint sticks much better. It took about 2 coats of paint:)
These little stands fit a mini cake just right. Each cake was 6″. I found my mini cake pans at Orson Gygi. I will tell more about this amazing store in the following posts.
MINI CAKE NAME BANNER PENNANTS:
I found the cutest selection of washi tape at Downtown Tape. Only 1.99 a roll! Huge selections of the cutest patterns and colors…I also love the other ideas on how to use the tape. You must check it out. I {heart} this tape…gingham, polka-dots, stripes…
I used this pink and turquoise tape to make the mini “name” cake banners. The colors were perfect. This was so easy…and I love how cute they looked on the mini cakes. I just folded a 2 inch piece of tape over some baker’s twine to make the little banner. I then cut out a triangle at the bottom. I wrote the letters with just a good old Sharpie marker, with a little fancy writing. Fine tip markers work the best:)
I used paper striped straws to affix the banners into the cakes.
Here are the little cakes…just waiting to be decorated by the little bakers:)
These were a huge hit! Stay tuned for more Paris Bakeshop fun this week!
Such a great idea! I love the colors you chose.

So……so cute! I wish I had been invited to partake!’
Love it!
Freaking adorbz! I just got a set of six 6″ pans to make a layer cake and this is another great use for them — wish I had a reason to have a party like this!
