Olympic Inspired Fruit Skewers
Our family is so excited for the Olympic games this summer. Olympic Inspired Fruit Skewers are the perfect snack for anyone while watching the Olympics or any TV for that matter.
We decided to hold a little Family Game night inspired by the Olympics. I’ve got all the details for that over on the Oriental Trading blog, Create Fun. Head over there so you can see everything we did to make that a fun night for our family.
These are some of the snacks that we came up with. Easy enough but they were a hit! Everyone loved them. The whole secret was finding fruit for each color in the Olympic rings. If I have something on this skewer that you don’t like it’s easy enough to find something to replace it. You could even use some vegetables too.
Here’s what you’ll need to make these fruit skewers:
- wooden skewers
- blueberries
- blackberries
- strawberries
- pineapple, fresh is best
- green grapes
After cleaning the fruit and removing stems and anything else begin placing the fruit on the skewer starting first with the blueberries, then blackberries, strawberries, pineapple and then the grape.
But like I said earlier, if you don’t love one of these fruits there are tons of different options. Raspberries, cherries, kiwi, bananas or apples are all great options.
