Painted Pistachio Shell Bugs
Are your kiddos buggy about bugs!?! My boys are obsessed bugs! I’m Shelly from Dolen Diaries and today I’m sharing how to make Painted Pistachio Shell Bugs!
Supplies:
- pistachio shells
- craft paint {I used America paint in their fun new summer colors Sunny Day, Watermelon Slice, Peacock Teal, Purple Rain, and Grey Storm}
- paint brush
Make sure your pistachio shells are clean and dry. Paint them with a base coat color and let them dry.
We made the yellow into bees by adding grey stripes little dots with eyes.
Watermelon into ladybugs by adding a head and dots with grey.
The boys got creative and made their own beetles with the purple and the turquoise shells.
The boys have had so much fun playing with their Painted Pistachio Shell Bugs and when they tire of them as toys we’ll use them in another art project! Looking for more creative fun with the ones you love!?!
